Role Purpose
This role is all about leading and motivating a team of HR professionals to deliver top-notch services across the entire employee lifecycle, from attraction to retention. You'll work closely with the General Manager - People & Capability, as well as senior leaders and executive teams, to ensure HR activities align with organizational goals and timelines.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
Operational HR Excellence: You'll lead key HR projects and annual activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. Your role involves developing and implementing HR strategies, overseeing day-to-day HR operations, providing reliable HR advice, and continuously improving HR information systems.
Talent Acquisition & Development: You'll spearhead the talent acquisition strategy, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals and promotes diversity and inclusion. You'll drive the end-to-end talent acquisition process, monitor trends, and propose innovative solutions. Additionally, you'll oversee organizational development initiatives from start to finish.
Leadership: Leading a team of HR professionals, you'll allocate tasks based on strengths and project needs, provide ongoing coaching and support, and foster a culture of continuous learning and accountability. You'll also maintain productive relationships with stakeholders, tailoring services to meet their needs.
Skills, Knowledge, and Attributes:
• Extensive knowledge of HR management principles, legislation, and practices
• Strong influencing, collaboration, and communication skills
• Excellent organizational abilities and the capacity to manage competing priorities
• Innovative thinking and a proactive approach to problem-solving
• High integrity and commitment to continuous improvement
• Resilience and a proactive working style
• Excellent analytical and observation skills
Experience:
• At least 5 years of demonstrated business partnering capabilities, with proven experience in stakeholder relationship development and influence
• Experience managing competing priorities and diverse deliverables in a complex organization
• Experience overseeing and improving HR systems, ensuring data integrity and alignment with organizational needs
• Ability to lead and motivate a team, providing ongoing coaching and support
Qualifications:
A tertiary level HR management qualification or similar, sufficient to gain member status of the Australian Human Resource Institute
