About the Role

The Senior Communications & Engagement Advisor will be responsible for designing and executing communications strategies to support Capricorn’s goals and objectives. Suited to an experienced all-rounder, the Advisor will be responsible for a broad range of communications & engagement activities including media, internal communications, content creation and advocacy. The role will provide advice and support to Senior Leaders and manage programs of work across Australia and New Zealand.

About you

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a communications role

• Well-developed interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, including the ability to communicate with a range of stakeholders

• Strong strategic communications expertise, with a proven track record in developing, executing, and assessing both internal and external communication strategies

• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create content for a range of channels.

• Experience managing relationships with the media, responding to enquiries, preparing media releases and proactive media pitches

• Demonstrated project management, planning and organisational skills including the ability to meet deadlines

• Excellent attention to detail, organisation and time-management skills

• Ability to adjust to shifting priorities and deadlines and ensure work is completed on time and to a high quality

Qualifications

• Public Relations or Journalism Degree
